The Arkansas medical team (made up of members from several churches) is on day two of their five-day medical clinic work in Haiti. The ABSC has partnered with the Dominican Republic Baptist Convention and the Western Haiti Baptist Convention in this endeavor. Today our team is at Darbonne, a rural town two hours west of Port Au Prince, near the epicenter of the January quake. This is the target areas that we are helping ABSC churches adopt. The Baptist church there was destroyed and Arkansas Baptists are helping with building restoration. One ABSC church has even committed to provide the roof!
Yesterday the team saw 180 patients. I JUST received a text message that the team has led three Haitians to Christ today. The church at Darbonne has even led former Voodoo practitioners to Christ since the quake. Would you pray for the team and their work this week and thank our Lord for these new family members?
