Two teams will be heading to Haiti in the latter part of this month. On April 25, a medical team of 12 will leave for Port Au Prince and spend a week meeting the medical and spiritual needs of people in Port Au Prince and at our adopted rural town, Darbonne. This team will spend nights at the Concord Baptist Church in Port Au Prince and hold medical clinics there. In addition, the team will travel to Darbonne and hold clinics there on at least two days. Pray for the Lord to use this team to effectively share the love of our Lord Jesus Christ, to have His wisdom in making medical decisions, and for safety in their travels to and in the country.
The ABSC's partnership with the Baptist church at Darbonne will be bolstered by our second April team, leaving April 29, the mission of which is to secure logistics for summer teams to be able to live and serve at Darbonne, bypassing the current base we have set up at Concord. The drive from Concord to Darbonne and back is 1.5 to 2 hours. By having a base at Darbonne, summer teams will be able to help with feeding, evangelism, discipleship and more. The Baptist church there has excellent leadership. ABSC churches will be able to participate directly in this partnership by sending teams. An announcement with particulars and details will be made when this second team has accomplished its mission. Please pray that the Lord will make their path straight so they can arrange the right people and resources to be in place to receive ABSC church groups this summer. God bless!
