Feb 25 update: The Mango Tree Clinic

Arkansas Team 2 spent a busy Thursday back at Darbonne, several kilometers outside of Port-Au-Prince. If you see yesterday's post, you will find that the Baptist Church there was destroyed. The church has met under a mango tree since the earthquake. The medical team has conducted their clinic under that same tree for the last two days. Today they were joined by seveal medical professionals from the Dominican Republic. Together they treated 292 patients, many of whom were very ill. The pastor told the team this afternoon that there are not enough diamonds in the world to give them for their sacrifice and willingness to serve the people of that area.

The pastor at Darbonne shared that there is a voodoo temple one block down on the same street that the church is on. There have been 65 converts since the quake, many of whom came from that temple. The medical team and locals evangelize during the clinics.

The pastor at the Concord Church says his congregation has been greatly impacted by the fact that the team is willing to be housed in the church.

The team has one more day to serve. Please pray that God is honored by the team's service and that many hundreds of seeds are planted Friday. (All pictures above are used by permission.)
