The team of nine men from Current Gaines association is safe in Haiti, arriving 48 hours later than planned due to the hurricane that hit Haiti on Friday.
Early assessment by the government and local organizations put the number of flood-displaced persons who live in a five mile radius around our base at about 10,000.
The Current Gaines team, original set to build 20 homes for the elderly and amputees from the quake, will be helping Roody with ministry towards these displaced persons. There plan is to still build some homes as well.
